In a new marketing campaign, the comedian offers brand fans some ‘Breathapy’ while offering them a new toothpaste variety to nix their bad breath.

There’s no tactful way of telling someone their breath is in need of freshening.
While it may be an awkward admission, it’s an act of love as the Good Samaritan is saving the person additional embarrassment, and ill-feelings among people who may not be inclined to say anything. The offender might as well wear an invisible sign on their back reading, “Back Off. Smelly Breath.”
To remove the shame in being the bearer of bad breath news and inject some comedy into how hard (but refreshing!) honesty can be, TheraBreath has teamed up with funnyman and influencer Jake Shane to break the news (and the cycle of bad breath!) by offering TheraBreath’s new variety of toothpastes.
“As someone who literally talks for a living, I want to go into every conversation knowing I’m fresh and feeling invincible,” said Shane. “Like most people, I would want my friends and family to tell me if I need some freshening up. Since everyone deserves to lead their day with a beautiful, healthy smile and the assurance of fresh breath, I’ve teamed up with TheraBreath to help deliver the news to those who need it most to help ensure they’re showing up as their freshest selves possible.”
Now through Dec. 10, the oral care brand is affording brand loyalists to nominate someone in need of freshening up for a chance for their nominee to be one of five to win a “Breathapy” session. The personalized video features a lighthearted, confidence-boosting pep talk delivered from Shane himself—along with a promotional code to claim a sample of TheraBreath Toothpaste.
The first 200 nominees will receive a message from the brand encouraging them to freshen up and a promotional code to claim a TheraBreath toothpaste sample. Those interested in making a nomination can send a direct message to @TheraBreath on Instagram with the nominee’s social handle and #Breathapy. Winners will have the opportunity to select the toothpaste that aligns with their personal dental goals, whether it is whitening for polished teeth, killing bad-breath-causing germs and plaque and gingivitis for a deep clean, or removing and preventing plaque that leads to gingivitis for healthy gums.
Launched this past August in response to increasing demand from millions of fans of its TikTok-viral rinses, new TheraBreath Toothpaste varieties were reportedly among the top-selling toothpastes during Amazon Prime Day in October.
TheraBreath Toothpaste is available in three varieties—Deep Clean, Healthy Gums and Whitening— and can be purchased online at Amazon, Target, Walmart and TheraBreath.com.
