Neutrogena Promotes Sun Safety Awareness for Fall 2025

Sun safety is a year-round essential—not just a summertime habit.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, just five sunburns in a lifetime can more than double a person’s risk of skin cancer — a statistic scarier than any haunted house.

That’s why Kenvue  and Neutrogena are reminding parents and educators this Halloween season: sun safety is a year-round essential, not just a summertime habit.

To help, Dr. Asha Patel Shah, Head of Medical Affairs NA, Skin Health & Beauty at Kenvue and Board-Certified Dermatologist, shares four simple “sun safety spells” parents can cast this spooky season in a consumer campaign:

🦇 Make it routine: Apply sunscreen after brushing teeth. Even one bad burn in childhood doubles melanoma risk later in life.
🍬 Pick kid-friendly formats: Sticks and sprays (like Neutrogena Kids lines) make sunscreen as easy as grabbing candy from a bowl.
🕷️ Lead by example: Apply it together — 34% of adults rarely use sunscreen, so modeling the habit is key.
🎃 Pack for school: Laws allowing sunscreen at school boost use by 8.3% — helping kids stay protected all day.
