Indie Beauty Event Takes ‘BITE’ Out of NYC

Personal care and wellness brands display latest innovations at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Sept. 10.

About 500 attendees and 100 exhibitors filled up the Metropolitan Pavilion for BITE (Beauty Is The Experience) in New York City on Sept. 10.

The energy of indie beauty’s most forward-thinking founders, retailers, investors and innovators converged in the Big Apple for a day designed to spotlight what—and who—is shaping the next era of the industry.

This year, a Buyer-Only Summit—a morning of programming for “verified retail decision-makers”— featured research and executive panels.

But that’s just one facet of the experience.

The exhibitors were excited to share the latest products and showcase what’s next for the holidays into 2026 and beyond.

“These indie brands are essential in today’s marketplace because they embody innovation, risk-taking and heart,” said Harley Sutton, founder and CEO of Thanks! Naturals.

A variety of household and personal care products were on display at BITE spanning everything from candles to sheet masks. Here’s a few more photos from the event.
