The skincare brand's second hypochlorous acid formula builds on the success of its 'OG' Daily Skin Spray, which became a fan favorite for its ability to help with over 50 common skin concerns.

Magic Molecule, a skincare brand known for producing hypochlorous acid solutions, has released its second hypochlorous acid formula since its 2023 launch, in spray form.
Hydrogel Spray delivers a higher concentration of hypochlorous acid in a stay-put, soothing gel that locks onto skin for targeted care, repair and long-lasting hydration. Safe for all ages (one month and up) and dermatologist-tested, Hydrogel supports the skin’s natural balance while replenishing and clarifying for healthier, clearer-looking skin.
“The Hydrogel Spray represents the next step in our hypochlorous acid skincare offerings,” said Justin Kerzner, co-founder and CEO of Magic Science Corporation. “We took everything our customers love about our Daily Skin Spray and created a more concentrated, stay-put hypochlorous acid formula for when your skin needs more intensive support.”
Hydrogel builds on the success of Magic Molecule’s original Daily Skin Spray, which quickly became a fan favorite for its ability to help with over 50 common skin concerns — from breakouts and sunburn to bug bites and diaper rash. Using the same science-backed HOCl technology, Hydrogel offers more intensive hydration with a silky, mineral clay-infused texture that stays in place and leads to healthy skin recovery. It is ideal for nighttime repair or dry, irritated and problematic skin areas.
The immune system naturally produces hypochlorous acid to fight harmful bacteria, but it’s been notoriously difficult to replicate and stabilize due to its unique molecular structure. The Magic Molecule team says they’ve cracked the code with a proprietary electrochemical process that delivers efficacy, purity and stability with a shelf life of up to 24 months. The Hydrogel Spray offers this same high-performance HOCl in a slightly higher concentration, paired with mineral clay for a gel-like application that locks in moisture and provides targeted support.
Magic Molecule’s Hydrogel Spray (3.4 oz.) is now available for $18 at Ulta stores nationwide and Ulta.com, and as a two-pack for $32 on MagicMolecule.com. Hydrogel Spray will also be launching on Amazon later this month.
