The lightweight leave-in oil lightly scented with calming lavender makes dry hair shinier and more moisturized without greasy residue.

The idea of “glow” has been all about the face and body for beauty enthusiasts this summer. But now, one hair care brand is extending that to the hair.
With the heatwaves of summer 2025 being unapologetic on hair, Pureology is transforming dry hair and quenching thirsty tresses with the launch of its trusty, new weapon: Hydrate Glow Catcher Oil.
As its name suggests, the lightweight leave-in oil lightly scented with calming lavender makes dry hair shinier and more moisturized, but that’s not to let the name fool users. The vegan oil does not leave a greasy residue, but instead leaves hair healthier and happier.
Celebrity hairstylist and the brand’s global artistic ambassador, Gregory Russell, can attest.
“My hair is really frizzy, but this guy has helped with the frizz control so much,” he told Happi. “This is a product that I feel confident [about].”
Pureology’s Antifade Complex formula of vitamin E and sunflower seed oil maintains the vibrancy of color-treated hair and provides essential conditioning benefits, including up to 72 hours of hydration and shine and 10 times more moisture and 2 times more shine.
The lightweight formula with a velvety-smooth, clear texture protects against heat up to 450°F.
Made with 100% vegan ingredients, the formula includes camellia seed oil to deliver moisture for enhanced softness and shine; silky hydrophobic sealants to evenly distribute moisture from root-to-tip; and Vitamin B5 to help seal the cuticle and boost moisture.
Russell recommends applying the oil on damp hair – one to two drops for fine hair and at least three for coarse texture. The droplets get dispensed into the palm of the hand and then rubbing hands together. Then, work hands through the ends of dry hair before gradually going up the hair shaft and gently patting the root. The result is instantly soft hair without a greasy feel.
Pureology’s Hydrate Glow Catcher Oil retails for $34 and lasts for at least six months, online at Ulta.
