Tube of the Year 2025 Awards Announced

The 2025 competition attracted entries from North American Manufacturing members as well as two associate members.

The Tube Council (NA) has announced the recipients of the “Tube of the Year” awards, recognizing outstanding achievements and innovations in tube packaging design and technology.

For more than 70 years, the Tube Council has served as an open forum for member squeeze tube manufacturing companies, its suppliers, customers, end users and educators to discuss and act on industry-related topics and initiatives.

The 2025 competition attracted 72 entries from nine North American Manufacturing members, as well as two associate members. All entries were evaluated by a panel of judges from consumer product companies, editors and publishers from packaging trade publications, and students and professors from a university packaging program.

After evaluation of the entries, an esteemed panel of judges has selected three winners in each category. These winners were announced at the Council’s Awards dinner on May 6.

Award Winners

Winning the Council’s Michael Hoard Tube of the Year Award for the “Best in Show” goes to Hoffmann Neopac for the innovative and ergonomic Voltaren Arthritis Pain tube, which seamlessly combines patient-friendly features with aesthetic appeal. This submission was also the recipient of the Gold Award in the Pharmaceutical category.

The Tube of the Year Award was renamed, this year, to honor Michael Hoard, a long-time Tube Council Board member, who died in November 2024.

Gold Award Winners

Personal Care – Viva Healthcare Packaging for Coola Dew Good Illuminating Body Melt. This tube was designed for a luxurious sun care formula that hydrates, nourishes and enhances skin’s natural glow while embracing sustainability.

Oral Care – Albea Americas, Inc. for Sensodyne Pronamel Clinical Enamel Strength Whitening Action Toothpaste. Encased in a 35mm recycling-ready plastic barrier laminate tube, this product not only prioritizes sustainability but also exudes elegance.

Household & Industrial – Berry Global for Gorilla Glue Clear Gel. This tube is printed using nine silkscreen colors holding very fine details and in tight registration. The gorilla image is especially impressive due to the fine lines in the face and fur, which are printed as positive lines and reversed to the orange ink beneath.

Sustainable Tube – Alltub Mexico for Clairol Colorstrong Zero Ammonia. This tube is designed with a new 100% recyclable update from the aluminum tube. The cap is a gray P-20L 80% PCR, with an internal varnish that protects the product and is BPA free.

Process and Component – In addition to the market-related categories, the associate members of the council participate in the awards competition by submitting innovative tube components or processes to support tube manufacturers. This year, for the associate member process/component category, the top award was presented to PackSys Global for its noSho Tube.
