Demdaco Recalls 3,000 Units of Candles

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission said the candle’s glass container can crack or break.

Demdaco has recalled 3,000 units of Maril Brand scented candles due to laceration and fire hazards.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission said the candle’s glass container can crack or break while it is burning, posing a laceration and fire hazard.

The firm has received three reports of the candle’s glass breaking while in use. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

The recalled candles were sold in an eight-ounce glass jar and come in various fragrances including Cinnamon + Cedar; Pumpkin + Birch and Siberian Fir.

Consumers are being asked to immediately stop using the recalled candle and contact Demdaco for a refund in the form of original payment.

Maril Scented Candles sold at gift shops nationwide, including Bachman’s in Minneapolis, MN, Flowers Around the Corner in Bowling Green, Kentucky; Coopers Uptown Store in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Haws & Co. Floral and Gifts in Lehi, Utah; Past and Presents in Lenexa, Kansas; and online at demdaco.com from July 2024 through November 2024 for $30.
