Jojoba Desert Introduces New Ingredient Lines Under JD Esters

The launch marks the expansion of JD’s innovation portfolio, offering formulators sustainable, high-performance solutions built on oil-free hydrogenated jojoba oil.

Jojoba Desert (JD), a global leader in jojoba-based ingredients, has introduced two new ingredient lines under its latest product category: JD Esters.

The launch marks the expansion of JD’s innovation portfolio, offering formulators sustainable, high-performance solutions built on oil-free hydrogenated jojoba oil.

The new lines—JD Esteris Plus and JD Beads – address both sensory performance and texture functionality, while staying true to JD’s commitment to clean, traceable and skin-friendly formulation tools, officials said.

JD Esteris Plus

JD Esteris Plus is a versatile range of oil-free jojoba wax esters, enriched with natural Tocopherol (Vitamin E). These ingredients act as body-formers, supporting texture structure and stability across various formats—from creams and balms to sticks and solid applications. With multiple melting point options across the line, JD Esteris Plus allows for tailored textures and optimal workability during formulation. The esters are fragrance-free, non-irritating, biodegradable and highly biomimetic, offering excellent compatibility with skin, per the makers.

JD Beads

JD Beads are natural, microplastic-free exfoliants made from hydrogenated jojoba oil, delivering gentle yet effective exfoliation. Available in a range of mesh sizes, they are ideal for face and body scrubs, shampoos, cleansers, and more. JD Beads are 100% biodegradable, non-abrasive, and safe for marine life – a responsible alternative to synthetic exfoliants, officials said.
