By harnessing processes like microbial fermentation, synthetic biology and recombinant DNA technology, we can engineer actives that are not only highly effective but also sustainable.
Lab-designed peptides, for instance, are being customized to target collagen production or reduce inflammation with molecular-level precision—far outperforming traditional ingredients in both stability and efficacy. What excites me most about biotech is its ability to address sustainability challenges head-on.
