Melt phase A ingredients at 80-85°C and stir until uniform. Add phase B and disperse the pigments. Heat phase C ingredients to 80-85°C and add slowly to phase A/B while stirring. Stir for five minutes at this temperature. Allow the emulsion to cool with stirring in such a way that it remains in continual motion. Avoid the incorporation of air. Homogenize at 50-60°C by means of a suitable dispersion unit (e.g. Ultra Turrax) in order to improve stability and structure. Stir while cooling to 30°C. Add phase D as required. Note: Excessive homogenizing can lead to an increase of the final viscosity.
