I am Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in hair loss conditions, hair growth, and hair care. I am also a cosmetic hair care innovator. An entrepreuneur at heart, I am always learning new things, keeping up with beauty trends, and poviting to sustainable business practices. I am a former Associate Scientist in Vaccine Manufacturing at Merck &Co., Inc, who transferred to Pharmaceutical Sales in the late 90s before entering medical school. During my medical education at Howard University, I became and National Institutes of Health (NIH) Summer Research Fellow, and later, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute-NIH Research Fellow. After medical school, I completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein at Montefiore, in Bronx, NY and my Dermatology Residency at Howard University and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I am a board-certified Dermatologist who completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, under the tutelage of Suzan Obagi. I am an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Howard University College of Medicine, where I teach cosmetic procedures to Dermatology Residents. I also teach Dermatology to Internal Medicine Residents at the University of Maryland Medical Systems - Capital Regional Health. I am a hair specialist who loves all things hair, and of course the skin. I actively conduct clinical research studies in my practice and I speak on behalf of pharmaceutical companies. I love to teach and mentor your people and other small business owners. Prior to starting my solo private practice, I worked in Ashburn, Virginia and I was also the Dermatologist at the Naval Health Clinic on Quantico. Giving back to those who sacrifice so much for us was an honor. In addition, I worked as a contractor at Kaiser Permanente. Product development in beauty, cosmetics, hair care, and writing are my undying passions. I self-published a children's book entitled "Grandma, A Treasure Forever". I haven't completed a manuscript since then, but once a writer, always a writer.
