Professor Ardeshir Bayat, is a clinician scientist with significant industry experience (working with multinational pharmaceutical & cosmetic companies plus own start-ups) is director of the MRC Wound Healing Unit at UCT, SA who runs an active multi-disciplinary research laboratory capable of performing in silico, in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo clinical trials. He is internationally recognized in skin healing and scarring with renowned expertise in skin of color research with focus on dermal fibrosis.
