The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) will hold its Annual Meeting & Showcase on Dec. 16 + 17, 2025 in New York City. This annual event offers a multitude of benefits, from education to networking.

Happi sat down with 2025 SCC President Akshay Talati of Supergoop! to learn more about this year’s keynote lectures and the slate of presentations spanning eight focused sessions on topics such as skin, hair, inclusive beauty, biotech and more.

Talati, who has been engaged at the local and national level, discussed COSA’s role in creating the annual meeting’s robust docket, valued support from industry suppliers, growth in student membership, and this year’s special 80th gala celebration.

Talati also shared insight about his own professional growth, industry connections and friendships that have come through his years of involvement with SCC. When Talati steps down later this month, he will join an impressive group of past-presidents who provided inspiration and exhibited deep dedication to growing the industry.
